About Stuart McLaughlin:

Stuart leads Google.org's Advocacy and Outreach, focusing on partnerships with organisations like the UN and the World Economic Forum and global grantees such as Wikipedia, Web Foundation and Project Everyone. Previously he led Google’s strategic corporate philanthropy in the area of Online Safety, working with civil society organisations developing online and offline responses to support people with adapting and responding to changes in technology. Before joining Google in 2014 to lead Employee Engagement for giving and volunteering in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Stuart was Chief Executive of Irish NGO Business to Arts from 2007 to 2014, a role that included the establishment of Ireland’s only home-grown crowdfunding platform fundit.ie.

Many years ago Stuart spent 4 years as Business Development Director with Accenture working across both the public and private sectors in Ireland. He spent a number of years working for Fujitsu in the UK and moved to Ireland in 2001 to join CapGemini as Head of Outsourcing. Alongside these roles he has taught as an adjunct lecturer at both Trinity (MSc Management Information Systems) and UCD (MA Cultural Policy and Arts Management).
