Introduction

Android development is a valuable skill set that is in-demand around the world. There are a variety of careers within the Android ecosystem, and opportunities to create new businesses. With over 2.6 billion active Android users in the world the mobile industry continues to grow globally and there has never been a better time for you to learn how to create and influence the technology used in your daily lives.

Hence for the first time in IIT BHU Varanasi we are conducting Android Study Jams 2021 to help you get started with your Android Development Journey.

Along the way, you will learn & practice concepts like frames, responsive designs, and building functional apps using Kotlin in the self-paced online curriculum provided by Google. Throughout the journey, the participants will complete online labs to unlock badges to show their progress. The program is devised such that it is easy for beginners to get accustomed to the Android Dev Environment.

Agenda

We have scheduled the first session of Android Study Jams on 8th December 2021. In this session we aim to target the following points:

• Fundamentals of Kotlin
• Building your first Android App
