About this event

Hacktoberfest — brought to you by DigitalOcean in partnership with Dev & Intel — is a month-long celebration of open source software. Maintainers are invited to guide would-be contributors towards issues that will help move the project forward, and contributors get the opportunity to give back to both projects they like and others they've just discovered. No contribution is too small — bug fixes and documentation updates are valid ways of participating.

DSC IIIT Kalyani introduces Git Bash, where Mr. Raveesh Agarwal, who was a former organizer of Google Developer Group Kolkata, speaker at various well known events including DevFest, Droidcon India, etc. and currently the Director at Cookytech Technologies will be giving a talk on Open Source. Along with this, for our first time contributors, we will also learn how to create your first Pull Request, resolving merge conflicts, changing git history and some common git issues that everyone must learn if they don't know how to already from Satyam Kumar, project coordinator DSC IIIT Kalyani and also a participant of GSoC 2020.

Please note that you need to make a dual registration.
