About this event

For six years in a row, cloud has been one of the most in-demand hard job skills, according to LinkedIn. It’s the number one most in-demand skill according to a recent report from Indeed. We will be doing an introduction to Cloud Computing and GCP via this workshop.

GCP is Google Cloud Platform. It is a suite of cloud computing services that runs on the same infrastructure that Google uses internally for its end-user products, such as Google Search, Gmail, Google Drive, and YouTube. We will be introducing basic concepts as well as conducting a hands-on lab with our training partner on GCP basics. Participants will earn a skill badge for participation. To ensure engagement, the class size will be kept small, so RSVP asap to secure your spot.

Either before or after the GCP session, we will also do a quick information session to share with our community on GSoC, a programme targeted at encouraging open-source contribution.
