Hacktoberfest is an annual worldwide event held during the month of October. The event encourages open source developers to contribute to repositories through pull requests (PR). GitHub hosts many open source repositories that contribute to Microsoft Learn content.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Hacktoberfest, and we’re calling on your support! Whether it’s your first time participating—or your tenth—it’s almost time to hack out four pristine pull/merge requests as we continue our month of support for open source.
The agenda of the meet will be:
1. Get started with open-source
2. Understanding Git and GitHub.
3. How contribute to any open source project on Github.
4. Hacktober Fest Kick-start
