Peter is Engineering Lead of a new applied research group focused on Gemini Google's Cambridge office. In this talk he will explore the fundamentals of Large Language Models, their deployment at scale, and recent research insights. He'll also discuss upcoming innovations and strategies his team is pursuing in applied research.
We'll talk about what large language models are and how they work, then discuss some of the practical considerations of deploying them to production at scale. We'll also touch on some of the most interesting recent research we've seen and how our team approaches our strategic research. Finally, we'll discuss some of the most exciting upcoming approaches we've seen.
