A CV is one of the most important things that you'd need as a tech person. It's a good way to introduce yourself, and you'll need one as you contact foreign graduate schools or even apply for a job. But writing one yourself is never an easy task: it's rather a lot complicated and time-consuming. So, why not have one early?
Each participant would be asked to summarize one's academic career into several categories in advance so that we could start from the template right away. But no worries, the basics of writing CVs, LaTeX, and OverLeaf would briefly be covered. After we're done, we'll have a small peer-review session to redeem our drafts.
As mentioned, all you need to bring is your career, written down, and a laptop. None of LaTeX nor OverLeaf skill is required. Since this would be a one-day online session via ZOOM and Slack, your laptop screen might feel a little small. You might want to have your pad device or an additional monitor ready.
