About this event
Arm yourself with the how-tos of Git and Github this Friday, February 4th at 5:30 PM EST in PG6 Room 112! We'll be going over basic Git commands and how to best utilize Github to access and manage your repositories. You will also become familiarized with version control.
Github is an important tool often utilized in order to maintain version control and collaborate with multiple contributors. Using Git, developers can work asynchronously on the same project, tackling multiple features at the same time. They can also maintain different versions of the same program to use in various situations. No matter the scenario, it's incredibly likely you'll have to use Github at some point during a technical career.
Please come to the event with Visual Studio Code and Node.js installed. You can install the necessary components here -
Afterwards, we'll be taking professional headshots of participants for use. We recommend wearing business casual attire for the photoshoot if you plan to use this photo on LinkedIn and other networking sites. Come dressed and ready to impress!
