We welcome you to Android Study Jams 2021. For the next one month, we'll be making yourself acquainted with the basics of Android Development using Kotlin as the programming language. Needless to say, we'll also be building some basic yet cool apps during your time with us!

About this event

Hey people!

We, GDSC - FET Jain University, present you Android Study Jams 2021, which is undoubtedly a great opportunity for all the android enthusiast and the people who have been looking to get started with Android Development and explore Kotlin as the programming language. Here, we'll be learning to build android based applications under the guidance of our facilitator, that we can use in our daily life! Anyone interested in learning android development can apply, no prior experience is required!

What are we exactly looking at?

In this very first session, we'll be exploring and learning about : 

  • Kotlin Basics : "Build your first Android apps with the Kotlin programming language. Add images and text to your Android apps, and learn how to use classes, objects, and conditionals to create an interactive app for your users."
  • Basic Layouts : "Improve the user interface of your app by learning about layouts, Material Design guidelines, and best practices for UI development."

What's in it for participants?

Eligible participants will be : 

  • learning Android Development from scratch.
  • earning badges for their Google Developer Profile.
  • getting a Certificate of Completion.
  • getting ready for Associate Android Developer Exam and get Associate Android Developer Certificate with reimbursement of 80% of the total certification fee.
  • developing real-world applications while working in teams.
  • standing a chance to get their app featured on Google's official social media handles.
