In this talk, Dr. Giuseppe Cataldo from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center will talk about his career path and give technical insights into the NASA James Webb Space Telescope and its mission to look back in time.

About this event

🚀 Have you ever wondered whether it's possible to look back in time? What does that even mean? ðŸš€

The NASA James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), named after the man who gave an unparalleled boost to space science research, will look back to the early universe. Webb is the most powerful space telescope ever built: It will be able to detect the earliest light in our universe.

Dr. Cataldo was awarded the NASA Early Career Public Achievement Medal and two team awards for spearheading the development of a Bayesian-based model validation approach and uncertainty quantification framework that led to drastic reductions in the time and cost of the required analysis cycles with superior results when compared to state-of-the-art methodologies for the JWST. He will talk about the mission of the telescope and the technological improvement it brings compared to its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope

Dr. Cataldo will also talk about his inspirational career in Space Exploration.

Don't miss it!
