Small companies are under enormous pressure to innovate and stay ahead of their competitors. This is especially the case for startups that typically do not have an established customer base. However, Machine Learning research is resource-intensive and time-consuming, which makes it difficult for small businesses to conduct original research. In this talk, Dr. Platscher will illustrate how they approach this at Acodis and provide insights into their Machine Learning research by showcasing several hands-on examples of data extraction from documents. About Acodis: Acodis is founded by three ETH Zurich graduates. Its mission is to transform any document in any language into structured data, thereby making valuable information, that is contained inside documents, available for automation tasks. Check out their platform at acodis.io. Acodis is hiring!
