Join us for the third event of our Competitive Programming Workshop series featuring world-class competitive programmers who will share their unique journeys and solve some problems, while guiding us through their out-of-the-box thought process.
This time, we are excited to meet Vaclav Volhejn and Vaclav Rozhon. They both competed in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and ICPC World Finals, with Vaclav Volhejn winning a gold medal at IOI. Last year, they made their first educational video about algorithms and submitted it to a competition organized by the famous youtuber 3blue1brown.
In this event, they will present two topics that they are planning to make into a video in the near future and, in addition, share some insights about making educational animation-rich and easy-to-follow videos for their channel Polylog. You'll learn how to sample from a distribution using your china set, and how they designed some weird dice for their board game enthusiast friend!
This event is jointly organized by the Google Developer Student Club at ETH Zurich and the VIS ACM committee.
