This talk addresses the differences between theoretical and industrial applications of machine learning and focuses on the challenges of implementing machine learning in an industrial setting.

About this event

The academia tends to teach state-of-the-art engineering that can often get far from industry's reality. Despite of being a field center around theoretical mathematics, Machine Leaning is no exception. In this talk, we aim to give a better understanding of industrial ML, and the important challenges that arise as soon as we exit a research environment with ideal data and infrastructures for the models.
