Cracking the coding interview

Vertigo 2.06, Eindhoven University of Technology, Het Eeuwsel 53, Eindhoven, 5612 AZ

This year we will organize recurring programming sessions, where we will teach you the skills that are required for getting through coding interviews with tech giants as Google. You might think that you are not capable of that, but I firmly believe that is not true. With dedication, consistent work, and a helpful community everything is possible! πŸš€πŸ”₯ And this event is your first πŸ‘£.

About this event

How?❓

We will be following Google's recommended "Cracking the Coding Interview" book chapter by chapter and will learn specific algorithms, data structures, and techniques for solving challenging problems.πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»

Essentially, every session will consist of 2 parts:

1) Material, a new topic every session, which we will present (~30 minutes).

2) Problem-solving time (~1h 30min) Problems from REAL INTERVIEWS, where you will apply the theory we presented prior.

Programming language: we will code in JAVA, but you are free to choose your own programming language.

β€ŒWho should consider coming?πŸ™‹

Everyone, who is really enthusiastic about getting into big tech companies. As we will start from the basics, absolute beginners are especially welcome. (but the pace will be quite fast, so don't chill out completely, if you are more experienced than others). 🌍

The only thing that is required - is basic programming knowledge (conditional statements, loops, and basic data structures). But if you don't have that you still have some time to prepare:

Variables in Java:

Data types in Java:

Strings in Java:

Arrays in Java:

Our detailed plan will be presented in the first sessions (this one, December 13th) so stay tuned and don't forget to invite your enthusiastic friends!

πŸ‘£ by πŸ‘£ and we will reach the top!
