In this club activity, we will be tackling one of the UN 17 sustainability goals by working on a solution challenge initiative. Our aim is to create an interconnected app that will be useful for every college, where people will be able to track their expenses on campus and give feedback on the dining hall. This will allow us to reduce food waste, which is a major issue in our society.
We will gather in solution challenge groups, where we will work collaboratively on the project. We will use various tools and techniques to brainstorm ideas, develop prototypes, and finally, implement the app. We will also invite guest speakers who are experts in the field of sustainability to provide us with insights and guidance throughout the project.
As part of the challenge, we will also host a competition to encourage participation and engagement among the club members. The competition will involve a scoring system, where each group will be awarded points based on their progress, creativity, and innovation. The group with the highest score at the end of the semester will be recognized and rewarded with a special prize.
