Google Developer Student Club @ DHA Suffa University collaborated with CEID on 9th December for the most asked question for a student or an entrepreneur about what is the right time to raise investments and the wisdom of utilizing it at its fullest potential.

As per the huge surge of huge investment in Pakistani startups during the global pandemic, Pakistani is known to be the untouched economy and the bar is said only to grow in the upcoming future. The session had two brilliant minds of the startup’s world who joined us to share not only the wisdom but also the modern techniques that are required to raise investments at the right time and place. We were joined by two speakers, who were passionate to bridge the gap between industry and academia and helped students to learn more about the tech startup industry.

Raza Afzal, Co-Founder Truck-it-who is an Experienced Management professional with a demonstrated history of working in Marketing and Operations shared his critical views, on the art of raising investment and explained the concept of idea formation and prototyping and the ability to build a product first, up and running, and then reaching out to explore more investment opportunities.

Faraz Younus Bandukda, A CFA and Chief Executive at Al-Hilal Securities Advisors (Pvt.) Ltd. & Al Hilal Shariah Advisors (Pvt.) Limited cleared all the concepts of raising funds from basics to advanced and shared his finance experience of how to raise funds with modern financial laws and principles.

This event was an open event, where students and industry professionals also joined us. As per the growing GDSC community growing in Pakistan with a mission to help student communities to think out the box, the session was also joined by Rashid Wassan who is the current GDSC Lead at MUET, and appreciated the GDSC@DSU initiative and efforts to provide the right tech exposure to the students at DHA Suffa University.
