Bonjour!👋
We invite you to a meetup on Hactoberfest.
Hacktoberfest encourages participation in the open-source community, which grows bigger every year. Complete the 2021 challenge and earn a limited-edition T-shirt.
Open source technology has been used to create some of the world's finest websites and applications. It’s difficult to come across a site that doesn't have an open-source connection. Hacktoberfest is your chance to break into the OSS community. Here is how your first contribution looks like:
Identify an Issue -> Discuss about it -> Implement a fix -> Discuss its effectiveness -> Make a pull request -> Get recognised!
OSS allows you to write code that will have an immediate impact and is visible for you to showcase. It's necessary to understand the necessity of writing legible code, working in a team, and understand version control, as these are some of the foundation skills of a good developer. A lot of hiring drives have recognized this and have made OSS contributions an important part of their hiring schemes.
Hacktoberfest is your chance to get into action and thrive in a nurturing environment! Join us on 9th of October for a short session, where we take you through the OSS journey and help you get started.
