Googleathon, set to take place on April 24th, 2024, at CIT Campus from 9 AM to 4 PM. This tech adventure promises participants an immersive experience in various domains of technology, offering them the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete for a prize pool totaling 3k. Participants can look forward to engaging in challenges across multiple domains, each with its own unique problem statements. In the Healthcare domain, contestants are tasked with developing automation solutions for glaucoma screening, along with a full stack project for doctors and hospitals incorporating a monitoring chatbot. The Environment Sustainability challenge involves utilizing machine learning and AI models to assess storm damage using high-resolution satellite data, aiding disaster response efforts in coastal areas. The Smart Education challenge aims to create a common knowledge platform for students across Indian universities/colleges to share and learn from innovative project works, fostering peer learning and cross-functional research. Additionally, the Open Innovation category allows participants to tackle self-selected problem statements, encouraging creativity and diversity in solutions. Domain and Problem Statements: Detailed description Healthcare: Problem Statement: Develop automation for glaucoma screening (OS models allowed) and forward results to doctors. Additionally, create a full-stack project for doctors and hospitals including a monitoring chatbot for users. Environment Sustainability: Problem Statement: a. Phase 1: Develop machine learning and AI models using high-resolution satellite data to assess storm damage and support disaster response and recovery efforts in data-poor coastal environments. b. Phase 2: Create a practical plan describing how the Phase 1 model could be applied by local beneficiaries to assess coastal infrastructure damage, vulnerability, socioeconomic impact, and climate change risk for future storms. Smart Education: Problem Statement: Innovation is crucial for enhancing education. Develop a common knowledge platform (with plagiarism detection) to consolidate project works from students across Indian universities/colleges. The platform should facilitate peer learning and cross-functional research among institutions. Open Innovation: Problem Statement: Participants have the freedom to choose their own problem statement for the competition. To participate, individuals must register by April 23rd, 2024, and are advised to bring their own laptops (BYOL).
