About this event

CMU's Solution Challenge Ideathon is a half-day hackathon event hosted by CMU's Google Developer Student Club (GDSC). The event will take place in-person on Sunday, January 29, 2023 and is open to all CMU students. Teams will brainstorm and then revise their solution for a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of their choosing, completing a problem-statement pitch, prototype design, and technical architecture proposal during the ideathon. Teams can then optionally submit their implemented solution to Google's 2023 Solution Challenge competition.

Ideathons are a great way to learn the foundations of the design and solution building process, and GDSC CMU's 2023 Ideathon event will give you and your team hands-on practice with iterative design. No prior programming experience is required.

All participants will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win cool prizes and Google swag! Additionally, free lunch and snacks will be provided.
