Have you ever wondered how digital products are ACTUALLY created? What is the behind-the-scenes work that makes awesome user experience possible? Who works on them and what does the process look like?

Programmers and Designers need to work together to create digital products that real human users will find useful. In this workshop session we will work together in an Object Oriented User Experience (OOUX) way that will give you X-ray vision of how to tame complex problems from a UX (User Experience) perspective. You will see how UX can inform data structure and how that data is ultimately displayed to the end user. We will collaborate and learn how to ask the right questions to ensure that we build the right thing for the right people.

Jon Alderink is a UX and UI designer at Twisthink, a local Grand Rapids tech company that helps build physical and digital connected products. He spent 15 years in the comic book industry where he penciled, inked, and lettered books for IDW Publishing, DC, and Marvel comics. Now he uses his storytelling superpowers to keep people engaged in the digital products that they use every day.
