About this event

The Google Solution Challenge - East Bay Edition is an exciting online hackathon that provides an opportunity for students from the East Bay region to come together and work towards participating in the Google Solution Challenge. The challenge invites students to use Google technology to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, and the hackathon aims to provide them with the skills, resources, and support they need to do so.

The hackathon is open to all students in the East Bay. Students can participate as individuals or as part of a team, and they are encouraged to bring their own unique skills and perspectives to the challenge. The event is organized by the Google Developer Student Club (DSC) at a local university or community college, in collaboration with other DSCs and industry partners.

The hackathon takes place over the submission window, depending on the availability, it can be entirely online. Participants are given access to a range of resources and support, including workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities, to help them develop their ideas and refine their skills. They can also use Google's suite of tools and platforms, such as Google Cloud and Google Maps, to build and test their solutions.

Throughout the hackathon, participants work to develop their ideas and create prototypes of their solutions. They receive feedback from mentors and industry experts, who provide guidance and support to help them refine their ideas and improve their solutions. The hackathon culminates in a final presentation, where participants showcase their solutions to a panel of judges, who evaluate them based on criteria such as innovation, impact, and feasibility.

The Google Solution Challenge - East Bay Edition is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience with Google technology, build their skills, and make a positive impact in their community. It is also a chance for students to network with industry experts and peers, and to explore potential career paths in the tech industry. Overall, the event is a valuable and rewarding experience for anyone interested in technology and social innovation.
