This is the first in a series of workshops centered around technical leadership and project management, hosted by Bryan Bergo, who is a full-stack web engineer and AI consultant. This workshop will focus on several important factors to consider when selecting a tech stack and will cover provide an overview of a few common stacks for different areas of software development.
It is apparent now more than ever that there is a lot more to being a software engineer than simply knowing how to code. Finding employment in this field now requires developing soft/people skills, and understanding how to collaborate effectively within a team. Regardless of whether you are a junior or senior engineer, a project manager or anyone else that works in a technical field, it is crucial to understand the process of developing software, including the parts that don't revolve around programming or are out of your control as a developer.
The purpose of this workshop series is to do just that, and this first session will focus on the process of brainstorming ideas and selecting a tech stack that will support those ideas during the peak hours of an application's usage.
