Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Brunel University London

About this event

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly pervasive in our lives and has become one of the most popular interests for students of computer science. Some of its subfields, like Machine Learning, are strong at the centre of attention, but Artificial intelligence is a broad term with a rich history, and it encompasses a lot more than ML.

This talk is aimed at students and prospective professionals who would like to focus their careers on AI. It presents an attempt at systematizing the field and surveys the different areas of research and application, and how they relate to each other.

Some of the areas of Ai will be illustrated using real-life projects taken from the speaker’s own experience and discussing what it is like to work within them.

The aim is to help those approaching the subject to gain a more comprehensive view of the landscape of AI, and perhaps to choose a favourite area of interest to pursue in their future studies or careers.

Our guest speaker Gabriel Scali (Founder and Director of Reckon Digital) will be giving a talk about AI and the Industry! You will be able to ask him questions about his expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction to gain a better understanding of AI and how to get started! Sign Up and Join Us on Saturday the 28th of November!

This is an amazing start point for you if you’re considering getting into the Tech Industry and want to work with Artificial Intelligence. This talk will cover so much about the industry and how Artificial Intelligence is being used in different sectors!

Alongside covering a range of topics around AI we will also be giving a few demonstrations of fun AI experiments with Google!

On top of all that you will be making your own machine learning model (even if you don't know how to code!)

If you want to Join Us for this amazing afternoon Sign Up and we look forward to seeing you there!
