In this session, the basics of Git and GitHub will be covered, so that it becomes easier to contribute to Open Source projects.

Brief concepts and commands that will be covered:

- Local repositories (git config, git init)

- Adding/staging (git add, git status)

- Committing (git commit, git log)

- Remote repositories (git clone, git push, git pull, git remote)

- Branching (git branch, git switch)

- Pull Requests
