Join us for our Flutter Study Jam 3: Firebase for Flutter! We’ll create a Flutter app that uses Firebase that allows individuals to vote for a start-up name!
Today we will learn how to:
- Create and configure a Firebase project
- Connect and use a database
- Add interactivity
By using:
- Stateful + stateless widgets
- Firebase console
- Firebase Cloud Firestore
To participate you'll need:
- Flutter installation
- VSCode installation
- Programming experience
- Have the starter code handy
- When we create our new Flutter app, we will copy paste the contents from the starter code into our main.dart file
- Recommended: create a Firebase account beforehand
- Optional: attendance in previous workshops
