The advent of big data, internet of things, and advanced data analytics challenged the way we view privacy. From aggressive ransomware, unwarranted facial recognition systems, and mind-reading headbands, technologies are being built to undermine our right to privacy. In this talk, we will explore the state of our data with the lens of privacy and security and how efforts are being built in defense of our anonymity.
