About this event

Firebase in Action aims to equip DSC Loyola participants with the necessary skills to use the cloud platform, Firebase, in developing real-world projects. Participants will engage themselves in a one-day workshop with access to a course called “Serverless Firebase Development” by Qwiklabs. The course offers five (5) lab activities that includes both the basics and a real-project using Firebase. Interesting projects include building a Google Assistant application with Dialogflow and Cloud Functions, and also deploying websites using Cloud Build and Firebase.

Opening Remarks	The opening remarks will be done to welcome the participants and thank them for choosing to participate and upskill themselves.
PART 1 Importing Data to Firebase Database	The participants and the DSC team will code together to accomplish part 1 of the qwiklabs quests
PART 2 Build a Serverless Web App with Firebase	The participants and the DSC team will code together to accomplish part 2 of the qwiklabs quests.
Lunch	Lunch break for the participants
PART 3 Deploy a Hugo Website with Cloud Build and Firebase Pipeline	The participants and the DSC team will code together to accomplish part 3 of the qwiklabs quests.
