Always wanted to learn about the command-line but never know where to begin? Fret not, APUSDS along with DSC APU are organising a workshop for TOTAL BEGINNERS with Mohammed Fazalullah from AWS Malaysia about Unix.

UNIX is an operating system which was first developed in the 1960s, and it is an invention that changed the world. It's running huge, complex, key applications for enterprise, it powers servers, data centers, and even supercomputers, actually all of them. Unix is the winner in the business market. However, not only that, the most popular operating systems among developers such as MacOS and Linux are all in Unix family. The simplicity and all principles behind Unix and Unix family made it the most loved development environment.

This workshop will be covering:

- A brief introduction to Unix

- Getting started with bash

- Learn about common Unix utilities (ls, cd, grep)
