Android Study Jams: Prior Programming Experience 2

The first session doubled as a recap of Track 1 and looked at a new concept that dealt with moving through multiple screens in an app: Navigation. This session puts a theoretical spin on the Jams and looks at certain guidelines to follow while writing code for an app. It also looks at how apps can get real-time updates on their data and always have up to date screens.

About this event

The first session doubled as a recap of Track 1 and looked at a new concept that dealt with moving through multiple screens in an app: Navigation. It also looked at the many advantages Navigation provides, how it can be controlled programmatically and briefly introduced Intents.

This session puts a theoretical spin on the Jams and looks at certain guidelines to follow while writing code for an app. These guidelines provide a more structured approach to building an app and help avoid writing the dreaded "Spaghetti Code". Additionally, this session will teach you about the various stages an app goes through from opening it to closing it and how you can control what happens at each stage.
Finally, it also looks at how apps can get real-time updates on their data and always have up to date screens.

See you at the session and let's Jam out!
