Google Solution Challenge is a competition that encourages and recognizes innovative solutions that use Google technology to solve real-world problems. The challenge is open to teams of developers, students, and entrepreneurs from around the world who are using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other Google technologies to build solutions that have the potential to make a positive impact on society. The competition typically includes multiple rounds of judging, with winners receiving prizes such as cash, mentorship, and access to Google resources and technologies. Additionally, finalists and winners are also recognized and promoted by Google, which can help to raise their profile and increase visibility for their solutions. The Google Developer Student Clubs' 2023 Solution Challenge mission is to solve one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology. Created by the United Nations in 2015 to be achieved by 2030, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed upon by all 193 United Nations Member States aim to end poverty, ensure prosperity, and protect the planet.
