A passionate developer and an ace community builder

Slick is a software developer and Tech Community Manager, with over 5 years of experience as a software developer and in the non-profit sector. Under Google’s community program (GDG), he helped facilitate major upgrades in technology advancement and promote innovative learning.

While volunteering as a Community Manager with Google Developers Group in Nigeria, he helped his community to facilitate major upgrades in technology advancement, He created a tech hub and provides educational resources and tools needed to promote smooth learning in his community. Slick worked with various community-based organizations, like Andela Learning Community, Kotlin Community, Code4Impact, among few, where he successfully made an impact in the developer ecosystem across the nation and beyond, he has contributed immensely to open source software and tech communities across Africa. Slick has trained over five thousand people in Digital Marketing Skills and he believes he’s just getting started.

Driven by his passion to leverage the use of technology with an innovative approach to solve and address social issues, for kids and the girl child, he founded Codenovation, a unified technology-driven platform, recently, he trained over 2,000 teenagers and youth in digital skills and its opportunities. He recently joined the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA).

He spends most of his time organizing and speaking in several conferences and meetups across Africa where knowledge is being distributed equally amongst both represented and underrepresented groups. Through these experiences, he developed skills in consulting, project management, and strategic planning that help individuals, startups, and businesses to grow via digitizing aid and appropriate technologies.

Shola loves to associate with people who love making the world a better place by contributing their knowledge and skills to create solutions that improve people’s lives. He enjoys focusing on topics of civic development, education, and has a strong passion for youth empowerment.
