Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) are community groups powered and resourced by Google for university students who are interested in impacting their community using technology and are pursuing a career in the technological field. GDSC Cardiff University aims to empower its students to connect, learn, and grow using technology and understand the impact technology has and is increasingly having in businesses and communities. Google Developer Student Clubs are in 100 plus countries around the world with there being over 1250 GDSC universities in these countries. This is the first time in Cardiff University's history that GDSC joins the institution. The aim is to impact as many students as possible and teach students about technology using events that include guest speakers from accredited companies, hackathons, study sessions, and more.
