Bahria University Islamabad Campus (BUIC)

Bahria University is one of Pakistan’s premier higher education institutions. Established in 2000, the university operates under a private-public partnership. Today, the university has multiple campuses across all metropolitan cities of the country and offers programs in undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral studies.

The university has its roots in Bahria College and Bahria Institute of Management and Computer Sciences, which were established in the 80’s and 90’s by Pakistan Navy. Bahria University has come a long way since its inception and today, it produces professionals in areas like Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Media Studies, Business Management, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Medical and Health Sciences, Professional Psychology, Social Sciences and Law.

DSC BUIC

Google Developer Student Club is a community platform for university students with an interest (or background) in technology. Regardless of what you are majoring in, if you have the curiosity and determination to take the plunge into the ocean that is tech, GDSC is where you belong.

Under the umbrella of Google Developers, DSCs around the world try to solve real-world problems using tech resources. Moreover, these community groups serve as the bridge between theory and practice hence allowing students to smoothly transition into the industry after graduation.

The BUIC chapter was established in 2021 and is currently under the lead of Bisma Qamar for the year 2022-23
