About

Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) are university-based community groups for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their communities.

GDSC AAUA is a team of passionate developers with set goals of building ourselves and extending a helping hand to our community by providing technical solutions to problems.


INTRO

We focus on building the community of developers on campus by organizing:

  1. Seminars
  2. Workshops
  3. Solution Challenges
  4. Meetups
  5. Interactive Sessions and so much more.

The community provides an avenue for beginner, intermediate, expert, and even, tech enthusiasts to learn new skills, upgrade and collaborate.

We're are not stopping at that, we extend our activities to helping young developers navigate through the archaic stage through mentorship and training that will help them become better programmers.


MEETINGS

The meetings hold at the Google Developers Group (GDG) Hub at the Computer Lecture Theatre (CLT) and hold at different venues when we have larger events or meetups.

The group train on materials supplied by our sponsor (Google) and focus on training for:

The hub accommodates students who are ready to learn and curious about technology to solve problems in their community. Internet access, good set-ups, and a conducive environment are being provided for students here, at the hub.

We're recognized and authorized on campus. The faculty advisor, Dr. O.O. Ajayi has been a father and a mentor! GDSC is supported by staff, especially from the ICT unit of the campus which provides an avenue to learn from professionals that are agile and serving in the field.
